Dr Rory McAuley

Rory is the Leader of Science Coordination at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), which involves the coordination of a broad range of terrestrial and marine conservation science activities including marine protected area assessment and monitoring. 

He is an experienced marine scientist with a strong background in developing and evaluating fishery management and marine conservation research programs, policies and regulations for the Western Australian and Australian Commonwealth Governments. Having worked on projects investigating the status of several Endangered and Critically Endangered marine reptiles, sawfishes, Australian sea lion and sharks, Rory’s experience is highly valued by the NWSFTCP.
